top 2 tuesday

Well... we are officially in the midst of the craziness.
And that means that most of my planning is FINALLY done.
Woop woop!!

So I will gradually be entering the blogging world again.
((I know you were worried there for a few weeks.  Don't lie.))

So I am partaking in the wonderfulness of Top 2 Tuesdays.
Allyce over at Living by Loving has began her own trend.
She's also awesome.
You should go get to know her.
And link up your Top 2 Tuesdays
So I can stalk read them.

Aaaannnndddd....
I'm kinda in love with todays topic
so I couldn't resist.

Top 2 Guilty Pleasure Songs
[that you know you belt it out to each and every time you hear it!]

Luckily, just this past weekend, Amanda and I went through all of her old CDs and busted out some old school.
Celine Dion, Hanson, Jock Jams, Britney Spears...
so without further ado...

1.  N'SYNC - Tearin' Up My Heart
Come on people... who didn't have a crush on at least one of those hotties?!
I'll admit it...
I totally did.
I still get all giddy flip out when I hear a N'SYNC song.
Same with Backstreet Boys.
Although... Backstreet Boys just never lived up to N'SYNC in my opinion.

2.  Hanson - Mmmbop
Look at those stud muffins.
Or not.
I never thought they were that attractive...
but I will always love that song.
I do have to admit... they're much better looking now.

So what are YOUR guilt pleasure songs??

Happy Tuesday!!

miscellany monday

2 more week left of school!!!
So welcome to miscellany monday.

btw - I'm taking about 10 of my kids to Hacienda tonight.
If you don't hear from me tomorrow...
Come make sure I'm still alive.
Seriously.
It's about to get real crazy.

1.  I'm pretty ticked that blogger lost my last post.  My life list.  They restored it as a draft, but only through number 66.  Pretty sure I didn't have 67-100 written down anywhere yet.  Ugh.  I now have to work on putting that back up and recreating it.

2.  I love shoes.  I just built my very own customized pair of Nike's.  Only $140.  I'll purchase them some day... then hide them in a pretty box so they don't get dirty.
They're awesome.
I'm pretty flipping proud of them and in love with them.
 Pink and Green.
BAM.

3.  4 year old girls are drama queens.  It's a proven fact.
And it cracks me up.
Today I just heard "A doesn't love me....." in a fit full of tears.
It was heartbreaking... but still amusing.
I also told A that mister said hi to her (in a text) and her response?
(in a fit of giggling...) "HE'S MY BOYFRIEND NOW!!!"
Uh.... I'm kinda worried.
I think she might be trying to steal him from me...

4.  I had a door slammed on my face today.
Diliberately.
It was awesome.
And a little ridic.

5.  "You wanna know how I spell 'I love you?'"
"I 'love heart' u"
LOVES it!!

6.  Tomorrow is my cousin's sweet 16.  Look her up on facebook and send her a happy birthday message.
Rachel Lambright.
Be like Nike... Just do it.
She'll love it.

7.  Happy Monday.
Peace.

they melt my heart

Kids.
They melt my heart every day.
Even on the bad days.

This past Sunday up in Kid City (@ GCC) we were talking about forgiveness.
We talked about Zacchaeus and how Jesus forgave him.
It changed his life.

So the kids were given an opportunity to forgive someone.
Think of someone who has hurt them.
Think of someone who has done something harmful.
....someone who needs forgiveness.

Then they could write that person's name on a piece of paper and throw it in a bucket.
Forgive them.

I was amazed.
Simply amazed.
The response was breathtaking.

I watched as child after child walked ran up to fill out a piece of paper and forgive someone.
We even had a few of the younger kids in our class bring paper back and ask for help.

Beautiful.

----------------------------------------

Then today...

In Bible, we've been talking about the resurrection.
Today's story was about the day Jesus went back up to Heaven.

We then had devotions about Heaven.
We talked about how there's no road up to Heaven...
Jesus has to come down and take us up to Heaven.

We followed this up with a "special prayer."
During this time I pray a special prayer and some days the kids ask to pray a special prayer as well.

Today was one of those "special prayer days."
And this is the first special prayer I heard:

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for our food and help us to be good and I want you to come get us and take us up to Heaven with you.
Amen.

So like I said...
they make my heart melt.

Happy Wednesday!

miscellany monday

I realize that Monday's are supposed to be presented with an edition of Yours Truly.  However, I'm down to the last 3 weeks of school.  That means my life is chaos, and therefore, my thoughts are chaos.  So Miscellany Monday seems fitting today.  Cause my thoughts are def all jumbled...

So here's to summer coming!!

1. I had the most amazing day yesterday.
Church, Kid City, meeting the mister's parents, mini nap break, then dinner with the Zook's (the mister's 2nd family).
I also learned a new card game.
I kicked butt.
Don't ask me how to play though.
It was confusing.

Now I'm not a card player, but...
I am excited to play card games with people who don't yell and push...
ahem......
(Lehmans.....)
It's actually pretty fun!!

2. Mondays = wasting time.
What's one of the best ways to waste your time?
DamnYouAutocorrect.com
(sorry for the language gma... but that's what it's called!!)
 Check it out.
I read this one today and I LOLed hysterically.
To the point where my kids thought I was crazy...

3. Erin over at LIY created her life list.
100 things that you want to do before you die.
I'm working on mine and you will see it within the week.
I hope.

4. Another time waster: dream shopping.
I do this too often.
Houses
Home decor
Cars
Clothes
Computers
Cameras
Vacations
etc.
Luckily I have the power to refrain from actually purchasing all these things.
For now.
Ba Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!
One of my many dream vacations?
This beauty right here:
 (source)

5. I'm the luckiest girl in the world.
For so many reasons.

6. Well hello there pre-divorce weight.
Nice to see you again.
I'm so glad you came back to visit.
Too bad you can't stay longer...
cause I'm on my way to see my pre-wedding weight!!
:)
I had the pleasure of tightening my belt to the last hole this weekend.
That's right...
I officially need new clothes.
smaller clothes.
BAM!!

7.  I am in love.
With the sunshine...
the warmer temps...
my amazing family...
all the special people in my life...
my God...
my future...
and I couldn't ask for more!

Happy Monday!

totally slackin tuesday?

My life got crazy all of a sudden.
Like super duper crazy.
Like 1-2 free nights a week, crazy.
Like I'm so frazzled I don't have time to blog, crazy.

We've FINALLY reached the last 4 weeks of school!!!
So you may not hear from me a whole lot this month.
Don't give up on me though!!
I'll miss all ya'll lovelies every day that I'm not bloggin.
Promise.

To give you a glimpse into what my life has become:
School Spring Program.
Mother's Day projects.
Date nights. (Which I'm definitely NOT complaining about!)
End-of-the-year field trip to Potawatomi Zoo with 23 preschoolers.
Hacienda night for school in which I will be eating with my kids.
Ice cream from Mancino's for an end-of-the-year treat (cause I spoil my kids).
End-of-the-year party.
Preschool awards day/night. (Haven't decided yet).
Father's Day projects.
((Hopefully)) A trip to FL for Rachel's recital.
School open houses.
Clean out my classroom.
Set up my new classroom.
Yard work.
Possibly going camping over Memorial Day weekend.
WOW.

Oh, and those 1-2 free nights a week?
Yea those are now devoted to working out with Amanda.
We've begun Insanity
While she will be doing it daily, I will just be joining her on the days I'm available.
Needless to say,
last night was our first night.
The "fit test."
I hurt.
But I'm ready for Wednesday!!
Bring. It. On!!

So if you don't hear from me for awhile?
Chances are I'm sleeping.
Or I can't move due to Insanity.

So what's my plan for today you might ask?
Well... it's a date night with the Mister for HIS BIRTHDAY!!
He's 28 today!!
We surprised him with a par-tay Saturday night.
24 people.
That's how awesome this guy is.
Everyone wanted to come!! :)
Ya'll missed out. Sorry!!
However, tonight it's just us two.
And the game plan is aaaaaaaaalllllll up to him!!

BTW... things are going great with the mister!
He's pretty awesome.
I like him.
:)

 So until next time...
HAPPY TUESDAY!!
